Suricate Bag/Fanny Pack – PDF Pattern
The Suricate pattern comes in two sizes and two versions: bag and fanny pack (bum bag)! Its rectangular format is timeless and practical to put all our stuff in it (our junk? đ)! It will follow you in your daily life.
The model is fully lined and has a zipper on the front to store your phone or credit card (depending on the size sewn) and an internal pocket to store your keys, a lipstick, etc..

Size :
Small size : 7.8″ x 4.7″ x 2″
Medium size : 10.2″ x 6.3″ x 2.4″
The Small size is ideal for the fanny pack version or a small bag. It is possible to slip your phone in the main opening and one or more credit cards in the zipped pocket on the front of the bag.
The Medium size allows you to put a large wallet in the main opening and a smartphone in the zipped pocket on the front of the bag.

Fabric Recommendation
Outside fabric(s) :
It is best to choose a fabric that has a good hold for the main fabric even though the fabric is interfaced. You can use corduroy, velvet, suede, jacquard, etc..
For the yokes you can use faux leather, suede or even cotton!
Lining :Â
For the lining you can use cotton, but you can also pick from your scraps (viscose, polyester, etc) đ

This bag is relatively simple to sew, but requires precision when sewing the zipper. Depending on the fabric you choose, it can be more or less complex to go through the layers (it all depends on your machine, and your patience… đ€Ł).
It is best to have already sewn a few garments or accessories. Accessible to motivated beginners!
